Some sketchbook pages feel like portals — and this one takes us straight into the heart of ancient Egypt, through beauty, mystery, and shimmering gold.
In this piece, I drew an Egyptian woman at the center, regal and serene, surrounded by two elegant cats guarding her from each side. Around her bloom lotus flowers, and woven through the details are hidden symbols from Egyptian culture. Can you spot them?
There’s a Hamsa hand (Fatima’s hand), the Eye of Horus, and even a small nod to the Egyptian sugar doll — a symbol full of sweet memories and childhood nostalgia.
Behind her, a pyramid rises subtly, framed by washi tape that helped shape its edges perfectly. Every corner of the drawing tells a story — from the gold ornaments on the cats’ necks to the glimmering Egyptian necklace, brought to life with real gold leaf.
I used black ink to build the details, and gold leaf to add luxury, light, and that magical touch that brings everything into timeless elegance.
This page feels like a window into a forgotten dream — a blend of divine feminine energy, sacred symbols, and ancestral magic.
I can already see this design transformed into a mystical print for your wall, or a gorgeous sticker for your notebook, journal, or even your mirror — a daily reminder of beauty, protection, and ancient power.
Would you bring this piece of Egypt into your world? She may be joining the shop soon… ✨🌺🐱
