My name is Susan Isaac, and I was born in 1989 in El Menia, a town south of Cairo, the capital of Egypt, where I have lived practically my entire life. Since I was little I felt a special attraction for the visual arts, making all kinds of crafts with leather, paper, wood, copper and later focusing on drawing and painting. I studied a degree and a master’s degree “Art Education” at Helwan University (Cairo), as they combined my two great passions: art and teaching

Although I work with different disciplines and techniques (oil, watercolor, acrylics, charcoal, pencil, pen …) as well as different themes (landscapes, portraits, illustration …), I have a clear preference for the “lowbrow art” movement, object of my master’s thesis, where portraits and everyday images are combined with fantasy scenes. This type of art school gives me the opportunity to combine formal and realistic portraiture with imaginative and creative elements, which is reflected in the paintings I make in this style. I invite you to take a look at my gallery to see some of the Lowbrow art works that I have done.
