No erasing, no undoing \u2014 just soft, deliberate lines that slowly build into form. Recently, I took on the challenge of drawing <em>\u201cThe Kiss\u201d<\/em>, the breathtaking sculpture by Yves Pires, using only a blue pen. And in every stroke, I tried to capture not just the form, but the feeling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>The Kiss<\/em> is more than just a sculpture \u2014 it\u2019s a moment frozen in time. Two figures wrapped in an embrace, held by love, by gravity, by surrender. Recreating that kind of intimacy on paper was both delicate and powerful. The blue shade gave it a dreamlike quality \u2014 like the drawing itself was caught between memory and emotion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Using ballpoint pen forces you to be present. There\u2019s no going back. You work slowly, layering tone over tone, line over line, until something begins to emerge. It\u2019s not just drawing \u2014 it\u2019s etching emotion into paper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This piece is a quiet homage \u2014 to love, to sculpture, and to the art of slow drawing.
